Ready for summer? Not without the perfect dress. With hundreds of brands out there, it can be hard to sort through who’s who and what true quality looks like. Don’t worry, I did the hard work for you and pulled together a list of 7 gorgeous dress brands like ASTR The Label, priced within a similar range ($50 to $275). As an avid shopper, my favorite thing about dresses is their ability to look elevated no matter the occasion. Even if you only have five minutes in the morning to get your act together, you’ll look 200% more put together when wearing a dress out. And no, that’s not a science, I’m biased! So if you’re a dress lover like me, you’ll love these fun, elegant, and feminine dresses, which make a statement when you walk in a room.

Petal & Pup’s adorable Zina Maxi Dress.

1. Petal & Pup

There’s a cute vibe to this brand, combining the allure of classic, feminine dresses with modern trends. Petal & Pup is also very affordable! Snag their best-selling Cyprus Dress for only $59, a personal favorite of mine! For other dress inspiration, their dresses under $75 section or their best-sellers section are two reliable go-to’s. That way, you can easily browse what other buyers are loving, giving you outfit inspiration for your next event: a night out on the town, date night, or trip abroad!

2. Altar’d State

I’ve been looking for affordable dresses, which pair my two favorite things: feminine cuts and floral prints. Altar’d State covers all the bases, offering casual dresses, maxi + midi dresses, mini dresses, and dresses by occasion. I’d describe this brand as mid-range price-wise, given their average dress cost ranges from $70 to $110.

3. Faithfull the Brand

One of my all-time favorite dress brands, sourced from Bali, Indonesia and based in Sydney, Australia. The dresses are form-fitting, elegant, and elevated. They look expensive, and rightfully so. You can expect to pay in between $150 and $500 for a dress. Personally, I think the price is worth it.

4. Free People

Free People has an irresistible bohemian charm, making them one of the top brands for women in the United States. Unlike Petal & Pup, you can expect a higher price tag. We’re talking $100+ dresses. Nonetheless, if you have the budget, and a soft spot for flowy and unique dresses, take a look at their best-sellers.

5. SABO

I have a vacation to Maui coming up soon and I’ve already bought a few dresses from this Australian-based brand! Wink, wink: The Alaska Dress, Gia Dress, and Bette Dress. I’d describe SABO as a mid-range clothing brand dedicated to free-spirited attire. Their dresses are casual yet elevated, and come in a range of styles: mini, midi, and maxi. If you’re like me, you’ll fall in love with their effortless designs.

6. POSSE

Browse light, airy dresses that are surprisingly upscale for their simple and sustainable fabrics: 100% BCI Certified Cotton and 100% European Flax™ Linen. My personal favorite of POSSE is the Alice Mini Dress in Scarlet Bloom, reminiscent of a long walk in a rose garden. If you’re looking for evening wear, give the Emma Button Down Mini Dress a try.

7. Z Supply

I’ve shopped at Z Supply countless times. Not only are their dresses stunning, but Z Supply has some of the best loungewear all around! Every night, I go to bed in one of their sets. But that’s besides the point. If you’re looking for a charming dress, you’re also in luck.
