Located on 4th Street in Berkeley, Cafe M is a great place to grab brunch with friends and family. Breakfast and brunch are served all day, every day, and the menu features five main categories: benedicts, recommendations, scramblers, omelettes, and pancakes & french toast. In addition to La Note in Berkeley, Cafe M is my favorite place to go for Sunday brunch.
Cafe M Recommendations
The top three items on the menu are the Combo Breakfast, which includes pancakes or french toast, two eggs and ham, and your choice of sausage, the Cinnamon Stuffed French Toast, which features Hawaiian bread filled with mascarpone-jam and topped with banana compote, and the Wet Breakfast Burrito, which includes a flour tortilla stuffed with eggs, smoked chicken chorizo sausage, tomatillo sauce, and red chili avocado crema.
Breakfast Add-Ons
Personally, I love to add my own spin to Cafe M’s Combo Breakfast. I often order the Combo with organic banana buckwheat pancakes, potatoes, and fruit. I finish off my meal with cups of fresh coffee. If you a fan of mimosas, order Cafe M’s bottomless mimosas with a friend or two. The restaurant uses their own fresh squeezed orange juice and sparkling wine! Considering the portion sizes, the food is priced well at around $10 to $16 dollars per meal.
More often than not, you’ll have a lot of leftovers at Cafe M. This is the reason why it’s loved by so many. When in Berkeley, take a quick stop into this brunch spot on 4th street!
