About Shea Moisture

SheaMoisture was created by the fourth-generation family of Sofi Tucker, a young woman who sold her homemade skin and hair products in Bonthe, Sierra Leone in 1912. This family owned and operated company strongly believes that Community Commerce can help disadvantaged individuals. Today, SheaMoisture donates 10% of sales to women-led businesses, supplier communities, or The Sofi Tucker Foundation.

SheaMoisture Star Ingredients

My Review of SheaMoisture

I love the ethical and environmental foundation of this company. It’s great to see that SheaMoisture obtains its ingredients from ethically traded and sustainably produced sources and is actively mindful of their products’ impact.

As for SheaMoisture’s Sugar Scrub, I think it’s a great steal at only $9.99. In the shower, I like to massage the scrub into my skin and leave it to sit for about a minute. Since the scrub is made with fair trade ingredients and without harsh chemicals or irritants, it is safe for all skin types! Now, you don’t have to worry about pesky parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oil, or sulfates that often pop up in bath and body products.

I love everything about this product, from the way it smells to the way it leaves me feeling after using. It helps with ingrowns and just overall exfoliating, leaving my skin super smooth.
— Angie,
This is the only scrub I’ve found that is gentle on my skin, exfoliates effectively, is made up of natural ingredients, and softens and hydrates my skin. Definitely buying again and recommending to friends!
— MorganX,
Absolutely love this stuff. Leaves skin so smooth and hydrated.
— Caseyloo22,

While I love occasionally splurging on quality skincare, this scrub is a great deal for its price! With the help of SheaMoisture, my skin stays soft and moisturized all day long. I’d highly recommend giving it a try!
