The Window at American Beauty opened its second location on the Venice Boardwalk on Tuesday, September 29th. The restaurant, located at 1827 Ocean Front Walk, is directly across from Muscle Beach and only a few steps from the sand.

After a long night out, the Window is the perfect place to satisfy our salty food cravings. Open daily from 11 am to 9 pm, the Window focuses on cheeseburgers, fries, and fried chicken sandwiches.

If you follow a vegetarian diet, don’t worry! Their menu features an Impossible Meat burger, grain bowl, and shaved kale salad. Looking to try out the Window, but are short on time? The Window also services the local area via UberEats, Postmates, and Doordash.

Eater LA’s #1 Pick for “10 Best New Burgers to Try in LA”

Eater LA also listed the Win~Dow as #1 for “The 10 Best New Burgers to Try in Los Angeles.” Their menu is affordable at $3.95 for a cheeseburger, $6.25 for a double, or $7.95 for an Impossible Meat burger.

My total was less than $13 for Window’s fried chicken sandwich, french fries, and unsweetened iced tea. Also, the food only took 10 minutes to prepare!

What to Order at The Win~Dow

I have always been a big In-N-Out fan, but these cheeseburgers and fries are tough to beat. I’d go with the Double Cheeseburger and Fried Chicken Sandwich if I’d had to choose.

The regular cheeseburger is made with the Window’s homemade thousand island dressing, crispy pickles, grilled onions, gooey cheese, and charbroiled meat patties, which are slammed between Martin’s potato bun.

The fried chicken sandwich is well-seasoned and has the perfect peppery crunch and vinegary homemade slaw. The fries are thin, salty, and crispy. If you love spicy sauces, ask for the jalapeño aioli with your fries.

What to Know Before You Go

Even though the Window looks unassuming, it’s a lovely little gem in the middle of the Venice Beach Boardwalk. If you are short on time, phone in your order. The parking lot is small and only holds about eight vehicles. Arguably, the best way to experience the Window is to grab your cheeseburger and head to the beach, where you can sit and enjoy the view.

The Window’s food is excellent, and the service is very fast. It’s no wonder the restaurant is rated 4.5/5 stars on Yelp. If you decide to pick up a cheeseburger or two, let me know what you think of your order in the comments section below.

XO, Kim
